This book sat on a shelf a long time and was read little if at all. The pages are in wonderfully excellent condition though the cover shows shelf wear. One way to tell a first edition is because one drawing has a small mistake. At a dinner table there a twelve girls while there should have been eleven as Madeline was not there. No dust jacket.
