Hand Made South Africa Telephone Wire Basket #23

This basket was made by one of a group of women who usually sit together around a fire, talking, singing and weaving. They are part of the Fair Trade organization that assures them a living wage for their labors. The material is telephone wire some of which is stripped of the colored coating to reveal the copper. These are tightly woven and will last for decades. Hand wash and dry.
