Handmade one ball at a time...

Inspired by the original lemon peel baseballs of the early 1800s, Lemon Balls take you back to a time when baseball was in its infancy, when rules were few and street games were plentiful.  Each Lemon Ball is handcrafted in luxurious, aromatic Chromexel® leather sourced from Chicago’s Horween Leathers, the nation’s longest continuously running tannery.  Like it’s predecessors, all four sides are sewn together with a waxed linen stitch.

Comes with a wood ring for display.  Lemon Balls are slightly smaller than an Official League Baseball - weighing 3.5 oz.; 8.5" circumference.  With use, they will gradually soften and develop a rich patina, much like a well-loved baseball glove.

Lemon Balls are made to the highest standards of American craftsmanship by Paul Cunningham, a native son of Cooperstown, NY.  Cunningham has served as a researcher for the National Baseball Hall of Fame, was the long time Photo Editor for Major League Baseball in Manhattan, and made ball gloves for elite players as a Sr. Baseball Glove Craftsman.  He was also selected to make basketballs for presentation to every member of the U.S. Men’s Basketball team who won a Gold Medal at the London Olympics.
