Born in Osaka in 1942, Hajime Okamoto is an artist with a distinctive, lighthearted style.  Famous for his cat drawings, each of them has their own name and personality.  Kabamaru is the leader of the group, and is a bit of a slow walker (kaba means hippo and maru means round).  Urume is a laid back tomboy.  Sakon loves to play with moving objects.  Momoji is a silly cat with a charming face.

Handcrafted of porcelain in Japan.  Gift box set of five (one of each and two of Kabamaru).  Microwave and dishwasher safe.
